Pros

*pay is good, better than other banks *PTO is also good *Incentives are good *Most of the co-workers are good people *Capital-one in this area are not as busy as others

Cons

*The GAIN is ridiculous, management is never satisfied *They make you investigate customers in order to make referrals to the bankers (They call it discover hidden needs) have to ask customers where they work, and what plans they have (Hate that) *When the bank gets mystery shoppers and you fail to get a 100% they make sure you feel everyone hates you *Everyone feels they have the right to tell you what to do *one day they tell you, you are a great employee, and the next you are the worst *If one day you have referrals, you're the best, but when you don' t have any they throw it in you're face, and make you feel unproductive *Co-workers are great, when you do what they want you to do, when you dont they talk about you until they get tired, and start being great again *Most of them say that they are professionals, but its not what you see in them

Pros

Some of the smartest individuals in their fields. The focus is always “forward” and the company is willing to adopt new tech to stay ahead for the purposes of the company’s (key word there) benefit. Great PTO and benefits.

Cons

The company’s drive to keep itself moving forward has caused it to regress in other aspects. As a leading tech company first, and leading bank second, it’s embarrassing what their stance is on hybrid and remote work. The company can easily accommodate remote options for their employees not near main offices, but chooses not to. I am relocating to a major city with no major CapOne presence and their response was “too bad, either fly up weekly or you’ll be terminated for not meeting the hybrid requirements”. It’s embarrassing because most of my week is remote anyways. I wonder how many current and past employees have been impacted, and I’m worried about how much talent they’ll be pushing away in the coming years.
