Pros

Online training was great. I actually miss it still. You could learn about anything you wanted, and I took full advantage of that. Good vacation and personal time off package for my position. Ability to work from home. The company has a good name so it wasn't too difficult to jump to a competent FI. Global footprint theoretically allows you to move anywhere. I'm not sure how many people actually do this though.

Cons

-High school like atmosphere. -Generally disinterested, absent and self promoting management -Not a meritocracy, even though they say they are. -GTS is a joke, no opportunity for growth. Too much focus on expenses has damaged staff morale severely. -Poor cafeteria (Buffalo location) -HR is nonexistent when you need them, actually always nonexistent except for email reminders about dress code constantly. Unwilling to help employees.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
