      Pros

      Most of my colleagues were nice people. That's about all I got.

      Cons

      Management haven't been taught how to manage, and when things go wrong, they're more interested in finding a direction to point their finger than getting things back on track. You constantly have to break company policy in order to get anything done. People get excited about "innovative" ideas that other companies have been doing for over a decade. People care more about doing things quickly, not doing things right.

      Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
