Pros

Work from home. Medicover. Flexible.

Cons

Low starting salary. Yearly pay raise around 2-4% which is extremely disappointing. Close to zero chance of getting promoted in your own position. Non-existing reward system. Everyone I know is severely unmotivated and looking for another job as an escape. Disorganization at every level. Applications that used on daily basis are horribly optimized and often unavailable, hence the work delay. Incompetent backup system. Even if you put an actual effort in your job it doesn't matter, so eventually you will not put any effort in your job. People also leave because of the heavy workload resulting much more heavy workload because of their absence, BUT there is no hiring to replace them. Surveys are completely ignored even if they are really bad (and they are really bad). You will stuck doing the same thing for years if you don't push yourself really hard.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
