Thank you for taking out your time to submit a review and share your experience. We are glad to hear that you found Cognizant to be a decent place to start your career, as early exposure and foundational experience are important at the beginning of a professional journey. We also understand your concern about last minute communication when being released from a project. We want our employees to have the best experience at work, which is why we conduct regular surveys where associates can share feedback on communication, leadership alignment and transparency. These inputs are reviewed carefully by our HR teams and leadership to help improve consistency and timely updates. Your feedback highlights how important clear and proactive communication is, especially during transitions. Insights like yours help us identify where processes need to be strengthened.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
