Thank you for taking out your time to submit a review and share your experience. We are glad to hear that you found Cognizant to be a good place for freshers to build their professional network, as early connections and collaboration can play an important role in shaping a career. We also understand your concern about limited growth opportunities and not having much choice in project allocation early on. We want our employees to have the best experience at work, which is why we run regular surveys where associates can share feedback on career growth, project alignment and leadership support. These insights are reviewed carefully by our HR teams and leadership to help improve transparency and development pathways. Your feedback highlights important aspects of the early career journey that deserve continued focus. We appreciate you taking the time to share this perspective.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
