Pros

It's a fun entry-level position. You learn a lot about customer service. There is opportunity to get know people in other departments. At my location, we were responsible for more than I would expect most front desk agents to be given, but it made the job more meaningful.

Cons

I was horribly underpaid for the amount of responsibility placed on me. The training was severely lacking. There was very little opportunity for growth. There were people who waited years for a promotion only to be blocked from applying or overlooked when their desired position was open. The directors often did not communicate what was going on.

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
