Good paycheck but overworked employees - Food & Beverage Doubletree By Hilton Employee Review

Pros

The company pays a good starting wage, way more than minimum; the union benefits are also good and perks for employees such as hotel stays are really useful.

Cons

Management hire so much people but only puts like a third on schedule, leaving others to have to file for unemployment. They would hire you for full time yet, you are not working on most days. On busy days, they would only schedule 2-3 people when they needed and could add more help, having you overworked.

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
