Pros

Great staff benefits (discounted rooms). Genuinely interesting work.

Cons

Staff uniform didn't fit properly, very difficult to get hold of replacement. Poor salary (minimum wage) considering shift patterns (15:00-23:30) and standard of work expected. Staff meals on service was at the discretion of the chef which usually meant whatever they could throw in the sham (lots of chips, ready meals, etc). Blame culture of senior management. Full time employees often called on days off regarding guests in house.

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
