Pros

They money is decent, the cookies are good and you'll learn a lot.

Cons

The company it self has great morals but, management ruins it. The hours are some of the longest I've ever had (50-60+) which I was fine with but, GOD forbid you have a family emergency or become ill. Upper management always had a bad attitude toward time off yet they would take as much as they needed. Being a catering manager requires a lot of time and you need to have an extremely flexible schedule. I was the only one in my office that was not married or had children and I don't recommend it to anyone who has a family. YOU'LL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! Another thing that was very off putting was the fact we were always cutting back on jobs and money in areas that were essential to keep the integrity of the hotel. I cant sell a trashy hotel nor do I want to. Cutting back on labor in housekeeping and maintenance is always a bad idea and I feel that every one, including the guests, noticed. Biggest thing to note is DO NOT EXPECT HELP. If you have a problem, yeah...we'll talk about it but, don't expect a resolution.

Pros

Benefits and employee meals were great. My team and people I worked with was the reason I stayed.

Cons

Leadership doesn't value or support their managers. Just be prepared to receive little support from corporate and a company as a whole. They don't want operations managers to succeed and rather run through options creating instability for their employees. Expectations constantly change. Favortism runs through departments that starts from the top (GM). Worst experience of my life was deciding to become a manager. Also as a operations manager they don't care about work life balance or if your working over 10 hours. Get use to long hours in operations with no support or help.
