Pros
My coworkers were incredible. Also, it appears someone finally figured out how to create dummy accounts to spam 4/5 star reviews here, so good on them for figuring that out.
Cons
From my view, leadership has failed the employees at Element and in return the employees have turned their backs on leadership and the company. This has created a work environment that can be described as unpleasant, at best, and its palpable. While I used to take a lot of pride in this role and envisioned my long-term career goals playing out at Element, I no longer see a healthy and productive path forward. This has become “just a job”. This seems to be the case with a large portion of the people I talk with. People just don’t care anymore. Maybe it’s because they see long-time employees being unceremoniously exited, or co-workers getting reprimanded or fired for not coming into an office where there aren’t even enough seats for all the employees, or maybe they are worried that their annual merit increase will be withheld, or maybe because their commute unnecessarily robs them of time with their family. The solution should have been obvious from the beginning. Identify your underperforming employees and exit them, hire new employees, and have your best employees train them. All boats rise. Instead, leadership opted to lowered everyone’s quality of life and incentivized employees to look for new work, from which your best people will be the first to leave.
