Pros

Being able to work with Hilton Corporate and their in-depth SALT rating system and high standard QA inspections allowed for great professional growth

Cons

Management structure and guidance extremely lacking. No accountability of any staff especially senior management. Also very unethical accounting practices which create a very unnecessary stressful work environment. Budgets and forecasts are manipulated to the point where you don't know what is real or what to expect. Credits and invoices are held and moved continuously to manipulate the GL and make things look better then they actually are. Corporate accounting (Uniland) really needs to audit the hotel and every aspect of its accounting before they get themselves into some real trouble. Internal HR very unethical in dealing with staff to the point where senior managers lie and its covered up by fellow senior managers. Although Corporate HR (Uniland) try to keep the best control they can, but when they are not being told the truth its hard. During Hilton QA room inspections the GM will actually direct Reservations/ Front Office Manager to book rooms into the system that are actually empty so the inspector wont go into those rooms. Staff are threatened with their jobs if they don't come into work immediately when the inspector gets there or is on his way. The management company at this property (Brookwood Hospitality) has accepted a very lackluster GM and allowed him complete control of the property.
