Pros
Little to no supervision on route You determine how quickly your route gets done. Not stuck in a building or one place for 8 to 10 hrs a day. Able to meet a diverse group of people Learn more about the city and general area knowledge. Can stay in shape from physical fast paced work load No watching the clock makes days fly by.
Cons
Pay doesn't match work load and physical demands. Unreal expectations more than not. No benefits No work home life balance No paid overtime, holidays, or sick time off. Very hard to get any time off No set hours, your not done until the last package is delivered. (I have worked until 11pm especially during peak season) You will never be able to experience a good Christmas with your family. Expected to work 6 days a week. Contractors do not care about their driver's or their Managers.
