Pros
Excellent pay and bonus structure; satisfying work; most of the city and OTR drivers were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly
Cons
Health benefits package became markedly more expensive after 2013; dockworkers being part-time made it hard to retain and motivate them in both speed and damage reduction (stacking, securing, and protecting freight properly)---if they were full time they would have invested themselves more in the work.
