Pros

You learn how to deal with different personality types/ management styles. There's a lot of camaraderie to be built between employees across locations. If you come in the door with creative problem solving and technical skills, it can be super easy and repetitive in that aspect. However, you might get bored and not like people and spreadsheets enough to even want to move up to management.

Cons

The workload and dealing with customer's can get overwhelming, and there's usually a lot of pressure to have everything perfect and finished before the store closes. You have to arbitrarily watch numbers. It feels like you're being underpaid for attempting do all the extra stuff corporate thinks* you should be doing to improve business.

Pros

Have a Strong staff and great customers -for the most part. Don't see my boss but 1-2 month.

Cons

The corp fluff to accomplish something. Setting all these goals and targets then forget about 90% until it's time to do the yearly "anonymous" survey. Then you see which stores had how many surveys done. 🙄 Keep it short and sweet it would be more effective. Have outstanding customer service but don't do anything personal in your store to recognize your customers. Be different but don't show it 😂 Working for Amazon now with no more pay. It benefits the store not us in our paychecks. At times unrealistic expectations with a high volume store and a staff of 4-5.
