Pros

-A higher starting pay rate than a typical business. -It's an indoor air conditioned job. -Medical benefits, tuition reimbursement (if you know how to do it) -A paycheck -Forces you to learn some skills on your own, without any training (sink or swim throw in the pool style)

Cons

-Full-time is not 40 hours a week here. It is an AVERAGE of 32 hours within a 3 month period. Which means if you're consistently given less (and you will) and your average drops, bye bye benefits. -No budget for training for a high skilled job (think Photoshop, Proprietary Software, Several Production Machines) -You are trained by the teammates and subordinates (actual results may vary) -There are no training hours here. So be ready to instantly be treated as a veteran. -Payroll has been cut significantly, what does that mean for you? Sometimes busy centers will have ONE employee running the whole show of shipping, printing, production, clean up, retail, phone service, web orders. -So many equipment failures it is impossible to run a job smoothly and efficiently (imagine being given nail clippers and get asked to trim a baseball field) -Management system is a joke, archaic at best. Upper management says write up write up write up. Job doesn't get done in time? Write up, without looking at the whole picture (new teamate told customer a huge order would be ready in an hour without looking at the schedule of other jobs and staff on hand) -Bad team members are the ones that stay. I have watched the intelligent productive team members leave as a result of the joke of a system here. -Every short coming of a companies business plan for these centers will result in the employee being expected to do more to make up for it. -Outdated and glitchy systems, outdated and unreliable equipment, an inventory system that was just started and doesn't even know what it's doing, Longer center hours, no training budget, a low staffing/payroll budget. -Typical jobs have one position like "Cashier" for example. Here you will be a Cashier, Shipping Coordinator, Signs and Graphic Specialist, Photoshop and InDesign Specialist, Vinyl Specialist, Manager/Supervisor, Customer Service Floor Associate, Inventory Specialist, Telephone Service Rep, Scheduler, Efficiency Expert, Laminate Specialist, Photo Printing/Canvas Printing/Binder Making///////...you get the point. -Expect to be 10+ job positions with little to no training and be all of them at an experienced level at the same time.
