Pros
I've worked at FedEx office for several years and I love my center manager. He tries his best to treat us like humans. FedEx is a great way to learn new computer skills like CS6, and you get to gain a lot of experience for the production side of printing. They give you major holidays off, vacation pay, sick pay and benefits. You get to meet some interesting people.
Cons
Seriously, we are way understaffed. This job will take over your life. I've been working a rotating shifts, split days off for almost half a year, and my personal life has pretty much disappeared. You wait on some really stupid and angry people, and the way FedEx sets up their 1-800 hotline is a complete joke. Be prepared to be yelled at for stuff that is completely not your fault. As wonderful as my center manager is, the bureaucracy of upper management and HR has limited him. We allow many of our employees to be lazy and do the bare minimum while either driving away or burning out the good empoyees. FedEx Office also cares more about numbers than anything. So excellent customer service, coming on your day off to cover, staying late, coming in early, never calling in sick, trying to make sure every job you do is correct the first time, means absolutely nothing unless you hit all of your product of the month numbers, survey counts, and pack and ship transactions. And even if you DO hit those numbers, you won't get credit for them because customers hardly will ever give you a shout out unless you hound them.
