Pros

Very easily to be promoted within the company, as long as you excel at your previous role. Challenging enough to keep you interested until you master that role, at that time there is opportunity to move along. Benefits are unmatched compared to anywhere! 7% match on 401(k), 10% profit sharing into 401(k) each December, quarterly bonuses, health packages, fitness reimbursement, almost fully paid advance degrees (i.e. MBA).

Cons

It can be monotonous at times. Initially, you start out on the phones as a Customer Service rep. As long as you aren't a screw up in that role, it's easy to move along to others with more responsibility. It is very much an inbound call center, however, training there is very good. Still good education when it comes to market knowledge and very, very good licensing training (7, 63, 66... possibly CFP pending on how far you move along). I have no experience in branch roles.

Pros

Benefits including profit sharing and bonuses are great. The breadth of this company provides a great opportunity to try out different career paths or boost your current one.

Cons

In my current role, I am working overtime more often than I'd like with recognition that seems to only go so far until it sizzles out. That may be tied to the size of the company itself, where promotions work in a "trickle down" manner.
