Cons
When a team member leaves the company, headcount would be frozen and the workload gets distributed to the members that's left in the company. Managers are just managers managing the managers managing the person doing the work. Not many managers are hands on or have the skillsets for the function. Functions do not respect other functions. Upper management do not have a clear business direction. They have been doing layoff ever since before COVID-19 and now they make use of the pandemic as an excuse for their layoff exercise, creating unnecessary uncertainties to the employees. They would overload you with work, and then one day they will announce to you that your role has been eliminated. After a short while they will post job opening on that role. The do-ers tend to get the extra responsibilities and the blames. Those that cannot perform tend to get away with everything.
