The best way to find out how terrible a job is, is to look at the turnover rate - and let me tell you Firstcourse in Cardiff has a VERY high turnover of staff.
-long hours sitting in uncomfortable chairs - most if not all of the chairs are broken in some way.
-constantly finding reasons to reduce and/or stop bonus - this is partly out of Firstsoure's hands as Sky will always be looking for ways to save money.
-Inexperienced team leaders - as mentioned turnover is high, so there's always a lot of new people on the call floor and they have very little help in way of management who are either VERY new, have never been on the phones, or haven't been on the phones for years.
-Dirty work environment - the lockers rooms have actual grime on the floors, and the desks are dirty, and one time there was an actual flea infestation that took weeks to get fixed.
-You won't progress - progression is almost completely reliant on who you know, not how good you are at your job. You'll either quit in less than a year, or you'll be in the same position 5 years from now.
-No compassion - you will get sick, in such a dirty environment it's inevitable, and Firstsource won't care. They have such a strict illness policy that they will send you home if you're on the verge of suicide and then give you a disciplinary when you come back in. DO NOT recommend for anyone suffering depression or long term illness apply for a job here.
