There are efforts for some transparency and standardization; there is a process to ask hr for a salary review; if you are “acting up” in a role beyond your current role you get an acting up bonus
Cons
Pay was low + not competitive with similar orgs, no cost of living adjustment each year, it was uneven negotiation for salary depending on manager causing unequal pay for same role on same team if management changed
