Pros

- staff discount (25%) - loyalty discount for customers (25% after spending atleast $50 x 5 separate days) - seniors day (Wed. 20%) - discount coupon for donaters (10%) - don't require experience to work there - can choose to volunteer or work there (if you volunteer, there is no pay, however) - charity, all funds go towards building homes for those less fortunate - no HST ever - goos deals, all items are 50% or more off of regular retail price

Cons

- high turn over - mostly a volunteer based organization so sometimes the store is short on staff members and it gets a little hectic when busy - con for customers; no refunds or returns

Pros

Was a AmeriCorps VISTA that launched my federal career. Amazing experience! Enjoyed every single day.

Cons

None, was an opportunity that I was fortunate to have found.

Pros

In the beginning there was a big sense of family and being there for each other. There were also nice perks and benefits. Good healthcare.

Cons

Extremely low morale, LOW pay, and high pressure to sell despite lack of good inventory. Lots of favoritism and bad-mouthing certain employees and volunteers behind their backs. Allowing certain associates to take multiple hour breaks despite it being against the rules. Little incentives from upper management to do a good job. Upper management seems to constantly see the bad in things and not what you're doing well.
