Pros
Lots of opportunities for long term career growth and geographic relocation. Healthy track record of promoting from within. Horizontal organization (i.e. great access to top executives).
Cons
Some functions not compensated as well as others. Incompetent HR department makes promotions, salary increases a real pain to execute and creates a real battle to retain talent when they are presented with other offers.
