Pros
Core of job relatively simple Due to busy nature, part- time shifts are almost always guaranteed The price cuts on staying at any Hilton as an employee is significant and good if you enjoy travelling
Cons
Extremely stressful Hospitality makes it so guests are almost encouraged to act superior (ranking systems, managers often rolling over to demands, etc) this means guests are often far ruder than they would be at a restaurant or within retail Lack of staff, receptionists cover various other areas Was often working on tasks that GRM's would be required to complete, but was kept on lower pay Management were either incompetent, harsh or a mixture of both Lack of benefits for part-time, even the ones I was granted were often forgotten by higher ups High turn over rate from staff, meaning the newer staff would end up being trained by those without the necessary experience- making the job harder for everyone as each new 'generation' of staff become less competent
