Pros
Kind coworkers who tried to help one another and the guests. Genuinely had a good team.
Cons
Pay was minimum wage and increases for long-term employees were delayed, forgotten, or fought against. Owner wouldn't pay for necessary repairs (black mold was painted over, lack of sound-proofing near the elevator was ignored, pool was never fixed, working AC units were shuffled around the building because he didn't want to replace them, etc.). Would have us put people in rooms even when we communicated major issues then would get mad when the customers complained or we had to comp rooms. If you were a good worker you would be given tasks outside the job description without additional pay. There was one manager with years of hotel experience and who would regularly stick his neck out for employees and he was fired for not increasing profits.
