Pros
Hines is a stable organization with a strong engineering base which is supported institutionally. As such, it provides the advanced learning tools to ensure the longevity of and prosperity to its engineers. I have great admiration for what Jeff and his father have achieved.
Cons
Similar support is not as prevalent to non-engineering employees although the company is making strides, albeit weak ones, to redress this issue. Organization overall is not women-friendly. Although has a few positioned in prominent spots they do not hold positions of power in the core business (engineering and construction management). Women are undervalued. Management style tends to lean towards autocratic.
