Pros

Infrastructure. Less Politics compared to other companies

Cons

1. Certifications - You need to study and pass an exam on topics which Infy doesnt even give us an opportunity to work on, moreso with 75% passing marks!!! and if u dont complete this, you dont get good appraisal ratings nor are you eligible for promotions. And did I forget to tell, you have 2 such exams a year. Atrocious.. 2. Working hours - 9 hrs 15 min, you have work or you dont, it doesnt matter. Infy claims to have flexi working hours. Dont see any flexibility here though. 3. Transport facility - Infy sets-up its DCs in far flung areas which will have very little mode of transportation. and the transport facility that Infy provides is during early hours of the morning, which if you miss means shelling out hundreds of rupees to the autowallas to reach the office. 4. Salary - The freshers get salaries almost equal to that of a 3-4 year experienced person working in the same company. Infy thinks it can work with freshers alone.. 5. And the greatest con of this company is its HR Head - she has a background of being BPO HR and thinks that HR decisions which work fine for BPO will work for technology as well..

Pros

My overall impression of the company is positive. The compensation and benefits seem fair and supportive, and the company appears to offer good career growth opportunities for employees who want to learn and advance. In terms of culture and values, it comes across as a professional, respectful, and collaborative environment where people are encouraged to contribute and develop.

Cons

I did not notice any major concerns, but like any large organization, there is always room to further improve internal communication and clarity around career advancement.

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
