Pros

Many smart people who enjoy having a challenging technical conversation. Very relaxed working environment, but everyone gets their work done. Ton's of benefits including a great campus, very generous medical / dental / vision, time off to work for charity, and flexibility for working from home. Intuit is all about the customers, so you feel that your work is really beneficial. A lot of time and effort is spent determining what the customers want, and how to best meet that need. The results are products that fill critical needs, which is very rewarding to be a part of. Intuit is great for those looking for a good work / life balance. They are very understanding if you have to leave the office early, or come in late, for personal reasons. It really feels like you are working for the larger team, not just your particular department.

Cons

Intuit can be a bit political at times. The managers try to convey information to you about why changes are being made in the company, but there seems to be some underlying cause that they are not disclosing. Intuit can get distracted easily, and have many pet projects that are not very useful. May not be a downside to most people, but almost everyone has their own office. If you are in software development, this is not a very good way to encourage collaboration with teammates or other teams. Intuit seems to be playing catchup when it comes to integrating with the next generation of technology (mobile, web 2.0, etc...)

Pros

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Cons

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
