The salary is quite high for the UK.

My base is in Europe but management in the US took full control (remotely) of our local office and tried to impose the same style of working as our colleagues have to endure in India, i.e. endless out of hours work, don't talk back and don't share your views or experience. All levels of management above me are Indian, both locally and remotely. Presumably because they are used to this type of work culture. More senior staff are being let go, and the junior staff retained, as they can be re-trained to be unthinking robots.
