Pros

If there’s one good thing that has come out of working at this company it is that it has been a great learning experience, but for the wrong reasons (to be explained further below); got experience in many different areas that I may not have gotten in another environment. Employees are typically friendly, hardworking, want to help you, and are willing to share insight and knowledge. The benefits are honestly pretty good. As for the surrounding area, Clinton has a very strong sense of community which is nice and there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

Cons

Compensation is pretty awful. They do offer profit sharing, but they implemented a cap and made it based on hitting certain goals the quarter after I became eligible. As with a lot of companies, the newer employees have significantly better salaries and the older employees get kind of screwed over. Also, worth mentioning that hiring practices of recent grads is arguably almost predatory; salary offers are very low, knowing that most recent grads are desperate for a job, and at least in my case they said I had to make a decision within 24 hours so that you don’t have much time to think about it. The plant is understaffed, resulting in overwork; due in part to understaffing, responsibilities are very unclear and are bounced between departments and whatever resource is free is thrown at a the most urgent project. Employees are heavily underappreciated and not rewarded for their hard work. There is very high turnover; most of the people I started with are gone. I’ve lost count of how many people who started after me have left before me. There is some pretty intense brain drain in recent years. A lot of this has to do with the stress associated with working here, especially for quality personnel; timelines for projects are unusually incredibly unrealistic and anytime a deadline is missed fingers get pointed at quality. Another major stressor is the lack of training and direction for new hires. Managers are often too busy to be available; the trail-by-fire approach is the standard and one has to rely heavily on peers to learn how to do their jobs. Completion of A3s (LSS) and Celoxis (logging hours) are taken unreasonably seriously; people just fill in A3s after the fact for a project they were going to do anyways and logging hours takes so much time to do properly that it hurts more than helps productivity.

Pros

Get paid if there is or isn't anything to do.

Cons

Rampant Nepotism and Cronyism. Un-qualified people in leadership postitions that have no idea what they are doing. DEI at its finest; hiring people from other countries that dont have american values or work ethic but hey the company met thier quota. Leadership bragging about how much money in the millions you made the company and how great that is for the company yet you get paid peanuts.
