Pros
Great reputation, Excellent learning opportunities, Learn how to do things the right way. I am especially glad I chose to work for them in a time when the economy is declining. PKS has never laid off salaried employees and I don't go to work wondering if I will have a job at the end of the week. PKS doesn't underbid to get work, they don't have to. They get the right job for the right price and allow you to work with realistic dollars. I've heard that after 5 years with PKS you can pretty much go anywhere. The big question for me is whether PKS will take care of me or whether I will have to go elsewhere to find that type of compensation.
Cons
length of time it takes to become a stockholder, having to kiss someones butt to be recognized, I work with another engineer who is the laziest MOFO I've ever worked with. He pushes off his responsibilities onto everyone else and is always kissing someone's behind. It is noticed by nearly everyone except the General Superintendent because he has his nose up his butt and always kissing his ass.
