Cons
Koch Global Solutions is the shared services organization for Koch Industries, which includes the enterprise IT capability. Unfortunately, the KGS IT capability is exceedingly inbred. Many leaders have not worked in IT outside of Koch, and so decisions are not informed by best practices, current trends, and best value creation strategies. Instead of establishing a vision that delivers services at the best possible price to their customers, they think that cost reduction is the ultimate goal. As a consequence, their services strategy is muddled at best, and leadership has forgotten that the least cost option is always to not do business at all. Despite not recognizing that fact, they're rapidly driving towards that goal.
