Pros

Honestly the only good thing about Kroger is how they balanced my school and work schedule. They gave me strictly 18 hours a week at 3-6hour day shifts and gave me morning shifts simply when I started to do a better job than my co-worker even though the Union bases work schedules off of seniority. That was a definite plus and little extra leverage I got. Other than that I promise you there is NO good reason to work at any kroger. Most krogers pay minimum wage to everyone except Pharmacy Techs, overnight stockers, and management. Anyone else makes at least...7.00-7.50, and this is WITH the 6.55 minimum wage standard.

Cons

Incompetent management, skeleton crews for each department leaving workers overworked and underpaid, terrible organization in the back room and receiving.

Pros

• Generally work with fantastic people. • Work is not difficult, and time flies when busy. • My bosses collaborated with me to create a schedule that worked, as I often had other commitments. • Overall, a pleasant work experience most days. Get good at what you do and you'll do fine.

Cons

• Some of the senior management was less friendly than others - as to be expected. • Days were very volatile; some could be extremely easy, and others could be a nightmare. • Scheduling was kept rather limited; although I was able to get the hours I wanted, often times management would look to cut hours from departments whenever possible, leaving less support.
