Pros

flexible scheduling employee discount (1/2 off only after your shift and only at the resataurant at which you work) limited responsibility (only a pro if you like that kind of thing) could still do your job even if you left your brain at home (again, only a pro if you like that kind of thing)

Cons

minimum wage with no periodic raises (less than minimum wage if under 18) hard work goes unnoticed dead-end job with no opportunity for advancement tedious and monotonous work no insurance/benefits part time/erratic hours (usually no more than 25 hours/ week) limited responsibility could still do your job even if you left your brain at home have to ask to use the bathroom have to ask to get something to drink (only have 30 seconds to drink it) have to wear a uniform straight out of the 1920's have to deal with hungry customers who complain about paying 10 cents for extra pickles on their burgers have to work nights/weekends/holidays for no additional compensation (only closed on Christmas and Easter) makes skin/hair/clothes greasy, dirty, and stinky have to clean public restrooms, empty public trashes, clean up "accidents" in the kid zoo

Pros

Good first job but don't stay for more than 2 years unless you get promoted to a manager.

Cons

Job has low pay. Won't give you raises unless they promote you, you are treated the same as a new hire even if you have 2 years of experience. Crew members have no say in anything, they claim when you become a crew trainer your opinion matters.
