Pros
Clients can be a joy to chat with. Helps you get through the day to have random chats and laughs. Well compensated, especially if you support multiple FAs who appreciate you.
Cons
Please run right past applying for this role. You will be thrown into the wolves… the wolves being FAs. You will have no armor, a.k.a training, and be expected to complete tasks and fulfill the duties of this position. Need help? Good luck getting it as the other CSAs are slammed too. They try to truly help when they can.I loved this role until I was assigned to another FA. Supporting multiple FAs with a lack of training is a disaster. It is the luck of the draw in this role. Either you’re partnered with an FA who values you and everything you do, or you’re stuck working for someone who micromanages, wants everything prioritized at the drop of a dime, and doesn’t care about anything else you’re working on that doesn’t involve them. You have no say who you’re going to work with. They will see who looks the least stressed out and give you a FA. There are FAs who are truly just a nightmare to be paired with. And the CSAs are the ones who suffer. Good luck going to management… you’ll be gaslighted on your feelings of being overwhelmed amongst other concerns. If you thrive working in a constant state of stress, condescending brokers who want everything prioritized, and management who can care less when you approach, this is your place! also the lack of diversity in the WNY complex makes you feel uncomfortable. 98% of 5 branches are one race… let that speak for itself.
