Pros
1. Free fruits 2. You will learn how to play politics , sabotage your colleagues work if you cannot steal it. 3. Good for becoming old cos you dont have to keep learning. 4. You will have people working from IIM and IIT around you. You will feel proud of that fact. But for me it was not the case since my career is way ahead of academics. So it doesnt matters me. 5. Games Games and games... 6. Work life balance is ok - ok or bad slightly. 7. you are allowed to eat from your desk
Cons
I worked for Morgan for 2 years in 2 different departments as technologist. Both of this departments are considered as cream for techno savvy people. Below are my views after working in it. 1. If you want to grow old and you are not good at your work. You can play politics and do buttering and earn pay 2. your managers like ed and all are mostly non technical and they are proving that they are technical cos they have learned some tech jargon's. 3. You will find product owners shouting in call at you to cover their inefficiency 4. You work with people who are some what good at analysis of diagnosing current problem but they dont know how to design systems or even do good code. 5. If you do good job your co-manager(who is mostly non technical) will try to block you and then continue with your work. If he succeeds he wins if he fails you fail. I was 1 of the casuality 6. They will block your appraisal and bonus if your comanager fails to complete his work and your ED will blame you for it. 7. If in meeting you give solution to any problem and other team heads like it and tell you to explain in depth your ED will make your co manager to explain the solution and will shut you down 8. Your Manager is highly insecured if you are good in your work. She will play all sort of games so that you dont grow. 9. Your ED will not support you and will fight with your MD for making you stay in company. 10. Every year there is event of firing people. 11. No time to eat your lunch 12. If your manager is Indian and ED he will bash his own culture. 13. Some of them use foul language in meetings itself
