Pros
Great technical team. Diverse and wealth of experience. Opportunities if willing to learn and be a sponge. Can get the chance to travel if needed for role. Great start to a scientific technical career and invaluable physical testing experience.
Cons
Lack of progression due to department structure at the time. Not suited to everyone as it's a very hands on, sometimes physical job (not a con for me).
