Pros

Above average health coverage which is great because the yearly rolling layoffs will harden you like a West Virginia miner in the 60s. Nothing can shake me anymore. Ive become hard and aged 100 years.

Cons

Was bought into a room today and given a 60 day exit date. Which they have to do due to the WARN act. I have been one of the best performers. It is a shock to see that I get picked to be laid off while higher paid employees that do nothing, still retain their jobs. Sad truth is...that it all comes down to who you know. If you suck up to the manager enough then your safe. True corporate garbage. They have no plan. Current employees are just waiting them to make a decision. Rolling layoffs expected. Start in April...continue through the year. Truly sad to see this one great company come to this. Philips Brand Management will respond to this and say they are sorry about the decision and it wasnt one that they made quickly and that they wish me the best. Will say how they wish me luck etc. etc. Truth is...they dont care. They are just doing damage control. Its only business..nothing personal. Sure...would believe that but heres the thing...they have slowly been making changes to their severance and benefits policy yearly. Giving workers less and less rights. Youre just a worthless cog. Upper management has no accountability. Hold information from you. It is a well known fact that some manager accidentally hinted at the layoffs and they pressed the trigger to began intermediately firing people. Best way to get information here is from the rumor mill. The cold truth is that this is NOT a company to build your career long term. Dont trust them to make the right call. Loyalty, honesty and integrity is dead here. Its easier to avoid regulations if you can build scanners for much less in China and Israel. Doesnt matter if the scanner will probably stop working after installation or catch on fire. If you do take a job here... Get in and get out is my advice. College students..listen to ME! take your talents elsewhere! there are much better companies all around. If you like to play the corporate game, where it doesnt matter what you really work on but you can tell funny jokes. Then youll thrive here. The whole company has become a joke. It was a great dutch company but has no dutch values. This company has become like a Trump run hotel.

Pros

- Easy commute if you live north of Seattle/Bellevue - Decent cafeteria - Decent compensation

Cons

- The level of apathy amongst colleagues is off the charts. Many people are simply coasting and collecting a paycheck. When you try to be a team player and pick up the slack, you simply become a target for blame. - Due to the extremely lax "return to office" policy, the office often feels quite empty when there is plenty of work to be done. Being onsite M-F often leads to more work with little support. - There is a culture of public shaming, with several meetings every week dedicated to project leads targeting individuals to make up for their own lack of technical understanding.
