Pros

I'm a consultant who just loves doing consulting. At SAP America, consultants' careers can grow almost without any limits. You can go as high as you're willing to work to achieve. SAP really makes an effort to reward people who demonstrate talent and hard work. SAP consultants get to help SAP's customers, and mentor others in the consulting practice. Numerous opportunities are available for "training-up" on new skills, and for networking with colleagues of similar interests. SAP provides systems where you can try out their newest stuff. And I also have made good friends among my colleagues. Most of all, I enjoy the prestige that SAP consultants have earned. You're respected as being among the very best.

Cons

As a consultant at SAP, you travel a lot. Because of that, it requires effort to maintain a personal life.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
