Pros

Some good people left, some good benefits at the Newcastle office there is an on site gym. Food is ok and good cafe.

Cons

Going through a lot of change, while change is needed doesn't feel like people are being thought about and just seen as a number. Jobs seem to be moving to London.

Thanks for your feedback. We have amazing colleagues at Sage and our benefits are great (we've just won an award for them too!) The Newcastle food offering is fantastic with plenty of choice and good value for money too. Having an on-site gym is amazing, free parking and a cool place to have a walk (or as some colleagues do - a run) at lunch time to get some fresh air. Change is not easy for everyone and we value our colleagues and treat them as individuals. At Sage the welfare of our colleagues is incredibly important to us. Colleagues have access to the support services available through our Colleague Assistance Programme. Whether worried about an incident or there is something else on your mind, the Colleague Assistance Programme offers a confidential and free to call 24-hour support line, staffed by qualified counsellors. Sage will only revert to a redundancy situation when all other avenues have been exhausted. Those affected are fully supported and are referred to other roles across the business. We have two offices in London (London Bridge and The Angel). The London Bridge one is relatively new. The majority of hiring in the UK still takes place in Newcastle but we advertise in all locations and hire wherever the best talent is. Thanks for your feedback.

Pros

Work life balance is the strongest attribute at Sage. Family matters and mental stablity is supported. Top notch benefits.

Cons

Departments with mixed roles of similar tasks, yet separate teams without collaboration.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
