Pros

Absolutely nothing. Massive waste of time.

Cons

If you make a mistake, they will punish you by cutting your hours. If youre not there 10 mins before your shift starts they take an hours pay off you. Long shifts, sometimes 8 hours in which you get a 30 minute break and if you stop any of the rest of the shift you will get told off. You are expected to stand at the till constantly, you're not allowed a chair cause they're terrified it might look bad to a mystery shopper if you sit to serve. If you get a mystery shopper and you only get the average pass score, you are humiliated infront of the rest of the staff and told that it's just not good enough. Lots of favouritism, people they like are allowed to be lazy and do what they like.

Pros

Early career engineers are given significant ownership and exposure to complex operational challenges. Strong focus on safety, technical development, and collaboration across disciplines. Opportunities to work on high-impact projects, interact with senior leadership, and contribute to decisions affecting major assets and infrastructure.

Cons

Workloads can be demanding, and priorities can shift quickly based on operational needs. Decision-making processes can be slow due to organizational complexity, and geographic mobility may be necessary for certain career opportunities.
