Pros
Great company, store managers get to "own" their locations so there's lots of autonomy within the store. Most of the people are wonderful. 40 hour work week and no overtime allowed. The undergraduate online ASU program is cool if you're interested in online ASU programs (they no longer reimburse for other schools, only ASU and only online classes).
Cons
You're only a manager for about 4 hours a week during Monday admin time (schedule, ordering, inventory counts, reviews, hiring, etc.), the rest of the time you spend as a barista, making drinks and cleaning floors, refrigerators, cleanings AND trying to squeeze in anything that needs to be done (reviews, hiring, etc). They run on a very THIN labor budget. My experience, the labor budget and operations/cleanliness/customer service expectations were impossible. Bonuses are based on sales to target, which can be any number the regional leadership thinks is good, not year over year or as a percentage of sales. They never released the metric for the bonus calculation. Almost no development opportunities, not enough vacation days. I think most managers start at 40,000 +bonuses, which is super low. Most locations are open every day of the year so you'll work most holidays including Christmas and Thanksgiving,
