Pros

The work environment and the people you work with vary GREATLY from store-to-store, but I am happy to say that my Target has (mostly) awesome people. Most co-workers are friendly, willing to help you out.. it's a great environment. As a minor working at Target, the pay is way more than I need, but it definitely would be challenging to live off of, but I do not plan to stay with Target after college. The discount is nice, little 10%s off here and there really add up. Customers are usually friendly, and most of us find a feeling of satisfaction to help the guest with their problem.

Cons

There are, of course, a few negative people, and it sucks that you have to compensate for their laziness. Sometimes you get caught in the middle of issues that are not your fault. Training does not cover everything you need to know, but at the same time, it is unrealistic to think it would.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
