Pros
Decent pay rate relative to other companies, but that’s only relevant to staff who get paid properly.
Cons
Constantly asked to work overtime only to get underpaid for months on end. Expected to clock in and out, then also keep track of all hours worked, then message managers constantly to ensure hours are paid. I’ve been underpaid for months now and have been struggling financially bc some managers are incompetent and lazy. Tesco themselves do not give a toss about staff and are always trying to save a buck. But I guess like they say “every little helps (them)”. It’s an ok job for young people using it as a stepping stone but wouldn’t recommend pursuing a full time career here. Loyalty and hard work isn’t appreciated or reciprocated at tesco, so don’t ever think you owe the company anything.
