Pros
The work can be challenging. There are multiple opportunities to learn. Benefits are ok. The company itself and what the company stands for (and therefore, having the ability to feel good about your work and the impact you have on customer safety) Worldwide brand recognition.
Cons
Opportunities to learn are mostly based on office politics and what seems to be far less about work ethic. This may vary on department/location. The management - Perpetuation of office politics rather than work/client focus. Inconsistent ever changing standards. Lack of follow through. Refusal to accept responsibility for anything remotely negative, but quick to point blame rather than focus on solutions, will take all responsibility for any and all ideas that are deemed positive. A focus on corporate climbing that results in manager on manager backstabbing and in-fighting. Some managers feel that they are allowed to use human resources as a weapon. A constant expectation to carry slower team members and many employees take advantage of this under the guise of "team work". A tumultuous atmosphere with multiple layoffs, firings, employees quitting in a short span of time. Constant shifting from "required" overtime to overtime being cut. Very difficult to plan and have a life outside of work when expectations seem to change frequently.
