Pros
In tech we have seen a few major waves: Productivity desktop software, the Internet, search, e-commerce, smart phones, social, and each of these things had a front-runner company that left its mark on tech. The next big thing is the on-demand app economy, and Uber is the front-runner for that. It feels great to ride this wave -- both in terms personal finances, and the impact we're able to make. The overall company objectives are awesome too... i mean why shouldn't a person be able to give another person a ride for a fee, so long as we can guarantee 99.9%+ safety?
Uber is at the center of an epic disruptive story, and it's so fun to see how it plays out.
Cons
It's in SF, so commutes can suck... but that's about it.
