Pros
Flexibility is the biggest benefit. You can literally turn on your app and work any time of day or night. You are constantly meeting new people and networking. You're not stuck in an office. You can schedule around any activities in your life with ease. You can be paid the same day.
Cons
The company takes a larger share of the fare each year without directly telling you. I originally averaged $35/hr working 12hr days, 70 hr weeks, six years ago. Now I average $20/hr. The way they used to make how they calculated pay transparent. Then several times over the years they changed the formal and made it almost impossible to figure out how they pay. The customer service personnel usually have very heavy accents that make them hard to understand sometimes. They follow scripts and have a hard time critically thinking for themselves. They changed the metrics and makes it harder to obtain the top tier which has more perks the higher you go. The company offers absolutely no benefits. They only offer certain perks for the tier level you achieve. All the wear and tear, insurance, gas or electric, all on you.
