Pros
Good pay, profit sharing, sales bonuses, "cross training" though typically within GW duties, promote from within.
Cons
Most duties of a GW are quite physical, stringent efficiency and accuracy metrics, mandatory overtime until all product is out the door, no prolonged light duty or consideration for placement if employee develops physical health issue apart from leave (temporary disability, FMLA, ADA, etc).
