Pros

Benefits, compensation, culture and diversity. Not all the departments enjoy home office (i.e Finance) Good exposure to high levels working in a multicultural environment your mature level is higher compared with other companies, supervisors can be managers and these can be directors in any other company due to the high level of responsability.

Cons

Top management in specific in Finance function, only one Director of a team of 4 make the promotion decisitions, project assignment, best roles and always there are preferences for their own team. there is a lack of support for the rest of the Finance team members. Your career will depend of your line manager, it does not matter your effort or years in the company, if you are not the predilect will remain at the same level/position. Some positions does not allow holidays when you decide to take. When you are hired as employee (not trainee) is very difficult to have a promotion, because trainees have preference over other candidates. Never had a response regarding why company contracted people from outside the company instead of develop talent. There is not worklife balance in Finance as happen in other functions, long work hours per week (+60 hours).

Pros

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Cons

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.
