Pros

Unilever encourages development by giving their employees them tools to learn, and empowering them with ownership of their processes and decision making. They care for your personal career development and entourage you to determine and follow your career path, they usually fill their job positions with current employees rather than new hires. They go the extra mile in term of bonuses.

Cons

The double edge sword of the high position rotation means that the learning curve of specific positions is constantly going up and down, making the expertise of your peers inconsistent (although this encourages adaptability). The operational roles tend to not be cared for as much as the office roles in terms of work/life balance, they are trying to remedy this but it has not been enough.

Pros

Working with brands you grew up with is really exciting! The people I have met have all been amazing as well!

Cons

Everyone I have talked to are overworked and feel underpaid and despite the amount of work they do, there is no recognition or appreciation. Upper management is a mess and UL is constantly restructuring, often going from new BACK to the old structure while simultaneously letting people go leaving more people overworked. While most people are amazing, there are a few micromanagers where expectations are unknown. In addition, the lack of communication is awful. Often, I hear about certain cuts through the vine rather than directly from the people involved
